Make Your RV More Comfortable with these Simple Upgrades
Whether you are taking an RV road trip in the winter or just want to improve your RV while it is parked at your house, now is the perfect time to make your RV more comfortable. Check out these 4 easy tips that will make your camper cozier and more inviting.
1. Use Throw Pillows and Blankets
Make your RV more comfortable with some throw pillows and soft blankets on the couches and chairs in your RV. The camper then becomes a more relaxing environment to read or play cards. Dedicate a storage cabinet to put these items away when they aren’t in use. Then if you can’t be outside on a rainy or cold day, you have a cozy blanket to wrap up in.
2. Switch out Valances for Curtains
RVs usually have valances by default which give the feel of a motorhome. Replacing the valances with regular curtains makes the camper feel more like your actual home. Heavy drapes can also help insulate the windows to keep your RV warmer and make your RV more comfortable.
3. Add Sconce Lights
Lamps are always cozier than overhead lights. But since tabletop or standing lamps will get knocked over in an RV, they aren’t a good idea. You can get the same effect with sconce lighting mounted to the wall. Install a couple of pivoting sconce light fixtures with lampshades and use them instead of the overhead lighting to make your RV more comfortable.
4. Add a Memory Foam Mattress Topper
The easiest way to improve the comfort of your RV’s mattress is to invest in a memory foam mattress topper. Memory foam has the perfect balance of firmness and softness, and by simply placing the topper over your current mattress you can make it feel like a whole different bed.
